Beach Wheelchairs for Penguin Island are booked in advance, alerting our team of the requirement for assistance. We do not have any other form of identifying passengers requiring assistance prior to arrival. Once passengers are ready to board, our Master and Crew are able to identify anyone with physical limitations, and will approach these passengers to discuss any concerns.

A Beach Wheelchair Hire for use on Penguin Island is available by completing a hire form prior to arrival. As the island has limited storage space, there is only one wheelchair available at the Ranger's station. The City of Rockingham and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservations and Attractions are responsible for the management and provision of Beach Wheelchairs. Mersey Point Jetty has two points of departure to accommodate low tides. If we are unable to board a wheelchair and we know in advance we are expecting a wheelchair booking, our team will do all we can to contact our guest to advise. Penguin Island now have fully accessible boardwalks when arriving at the island. There are accessible toilets at Pengos Cafe, these bathrooms are serviced by the City of Rockingham.
