Magnifiers
We are using Nuance glass and Meta Glass that Health Partners are supplying for inclusion for vision, hearing and other needs. /We have developed use cases and have these available from 15th June 2026 for our guests to use in the classes. We will set customer's up before the class so they understand how to use and already have a staff member with hearing problems that can now present classes due to this techology.
There is easy to read signage and information (e.g. menus and emergency information)
We have produced a PDF introduction card that customers can download before there sessions and is emailed if on booking we are told of specific needs. All presenters are trained in different learning styles and we now have laminated cards that show processes and remind guests are each workstation.

Fleurieu Food and Wine welcomes accredited assistance animals. Under South Australian legislation assistance animals are not permitted in active food preparation zones or near cooking equipment. We will always make reasonable adjustments so guests can participate safely, including appropriate workstation placement or the use of a companion for hands-on tasks.

The following steps are in place to ensure that people with fatigue related to their disability are not disadvantaged by long wait times:
We have waiting spaces in all venues and can provide an early arrival for guests with accessibility needs. As we have only small classes and a specific start time there is no associated wait time for any guest. Staff our briefed on all inclusion needs and specific accommodations that will be required.

Guests are very welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to settle in comfortably. This time can be used to:Familiarise yourself with the space and layoutFind seating or your workstationMeet the host and ask any questionsPosition mobility aids or assistance animalsGet comfortable with noise, lighting and activity levelsClasses will still commence at the advertised start time, and arriving early is optional.If you have specific access or comfort needs, we encourage you to let us know at the time of booking so we can prepare the space appropriately.We provide all guest the ability to download our information sheet on the class and venue to build confidence in what to expect. We collect customer needs in the booking process to allow for inclusive experiences.

There are steps.
Top and bottom steps are easily distinguished through colour contrast or the use of TGSIs (Tactile Ground Surface Indicators)
All steps or staircases have enclosed risers
The underside of all staircases are enclosed or protected to a height of at least 2 metres
Where steps are present are there three steps or less

The only venue with a step is Bungala House and a ramp is provided for access.

The only venue that requires ramp access if Bungala House which has a small step up to the cooking area. This step has a temporary ramp that complies to AS 1428.1 accessiblity standards. It can be used to a clear landing for easy mobility to the cooking and eating area. We have a temporary ramp that is fitted during the class as reqruied.
