The boarding process can be quite challenging for those with limited mobility, and due to narrow walkways and safety regulations on board, we are unable to accommodate mobility aids such as canes, walkers, or wheelchairs on either the tender or the lugger. Guests are welcome to self drive to Gantheaume Beach and park on the beach or alternatively at the Broome Turf Club and walk down. Due to this our tour is not suitable for wheelchair access. We do offer complimentary bus transfers to and from accommodation, however we are unable to store wheelchairs onshore while the cruise is underway. I want to offer a clear picture of the boarding process so you can assess whether this experience will be suitable for you. Here’s a brief overview of how boarding works for the tender:To board the tender, you'll need to walk through water that is above your ankles but below your knees. You’ll then step up a small ladder with 2–3 steps, where a crew member will be to assist you. Once inside the tender, you'll walk down the aisle to your seat. There are handrails available, but you will need to step over a few small ‘blocks’ along the way. When we arrive at the lugger, our crew will secure both vessels together, and you'll step across from the tender to the main boat. Please note that swell does cause there to be a larger gap between the vessels. That said, unfortunately, our cruise may not be appropriate for all needs. The boarding process can be quite challenging for those with limited mobility, and due to narrow walkways and safety regulations on board, we are unable to accommodate mobility aids such as canes, walkers, or wheelchairs on either the tender or the lugger.
