Additional Information from the business
The business identifies guests who need additional assistance should an emergency occur by:
Prior to departure, all guest medical conditions are submitted to our office and recorded in the voyage manifest. This information is then provided to the onboard crew to ensure appropriate awareness and preparedness throughout the journey.
The procedure for assisting guests who need assisted rescue is:
1.Assisted Recovery: Trained crew will carry out the rescue using approved safety equipment, such as life rings, harnesses, support craft, or manual assistance, depending on the location and type of activity. Procedures are adapted based on whether the incident occurs onboard, in the water, or onshore (e.g., during a hike or landing). 2. Medical Monitoring and Support: Once the guest is safely recovered, they will be monitored closely by the crew. If the condition is serious, the skipper will initiate evacuation procedures and divert the vessel to the nearest safe port or rendezvous point for medical evacuation. 3. Documentation and Reporting: A full incident report will be completed, detailing the nature of the event, actions taken, and outcomes. The event will be reviewed during post-voyage debriefs to assess whether updates to procedures or additional training are required.
