Exmouth Camper Hire developed a new web site in May 2024 which is proving to be very user friendly and secure way to book a Camper Van experience. We use instructional videos with English subtitles to showcase each Camper Van. Our office is also available to receive any calls with queries, plus are very responsive to emails, and active with social media/google account messages.

We have never had a customer hire with a service animal, however our depot offers shade and a safe space if required along with animal drinking water upon request.

The following steps are in place to ensure that people with fatigue related to their disability are not disadvantaged by long wait times:
Before a Camper Van hire customer arrives, they have completed and signed a digital contract, paid for their hire and bond, received pick up instructions, Camper Van registration and key lock box code, plus watched and downloaded their Camper Van instructional handover videos.
The time from when a customer arrives to when a customers drives off is very minimal.
In addition, the following further information can assist guests
Secure key lock boxes features in all of our Camper Vans and we are always available via mobile phone or email for a customer OR upon request owners can be present for a handover. There are satellite navigation devices in each of our Camper Vans that are monitored. These devices alert us via text message or email of any emergency situations (hire or health) our customers may encounter while on hire. We can then instantly contact emergency services if required and know exactly where to locate. The satellite navigation system is also used to locate customers upon extreme weather events, so we can pre warn of conditions if in danger. Standard operating procedures apply for Camper hires between the months of November to April, as this is Cyclone season in the Pilbara. A hard copy document of this protocol is in each Camper Vans information folder through out these months.

Our Camper Vans are not wheel chair accessible, however we do have disabled parking, a disabled toilet and ramp for any disabled customer to enter our office if need be. With Exmouth Camper Hire being a contactless business and all customers pre booking online, our office is not busy with walk in customers, so a nice quiet space for an individual to use upon request if feeling over whelmed pre hire. Soft and comforting local beach photography also feature on the office walls.

At the front of the Exmouth Camper hire depot, there is a large open space. Part concrete (paths and drive ways) and part compacted rocks. Allowing for easy vehicle manoeuvrability upon any customer picking up and dropping off their Camper Van that needs close assistance. The Airport Shuttle Bus drop off/pick up location is directly out the front of our depot. A wide, concrete drive way, paths the way and is off the main road.

Before hire our Camper Van customers have been provided with specs and features on their hired Camper, along with self drive itinerary options, camp site characteristics, and information on how to get to us from the airport or by road.
The Airport Shuttle Bus picks up and drops off to/from the very front of our depot. Easy and safe!

Our Camper Van hire customers stop at the local supermarket to buy food for their self drive holiday, plus spend other tourist dollars through out our communities small businesses including retail, restaurants, breweries. All venues cater for the disabled. Each Camper Van has a navigation system in the front cab to guide around an unfamiliar townsite and camp ground areas. Hard copy maps are also provided.

The image above is of one of our Leisure Camper Vans front cab. No steps in the front cab of this Camper Van type, and vehicle being a Toyota Hilux 2WD, so lower to the ground. Easy accessibility for a customer to get in and out of the vehicle at anytime. Kitchen space is all outside standing and bed zone minimal steps to get inside for sleeping. Exmouth Camper Hire is not really classed as a tour, more as a self drive excursion/holiday. However around what a customer would like to experience, we commonly customise each itinerary in their pre planning stage, to ensure they have a nightly campsite secured and are kept safe while in and around the Camper Van. This also eliminates any confusion or anxiety on arrival, knowing where they are going.
No wardrobes with hanging space feature in our Camper Vans. Some carpet lined shelves feature along with drop down cupboards.

For guests with a hearing impairment, the following emergency evacuation procedures apply to ensure safe evacuation:
Emergency Exit signs are visual at each emergency exits in our Camper Vans, along with a Fire extinguisher sign visual in the front cab.
Each Camper Van has a folder with hard copy maps and other relevant hire documents including an evacuation sketch of a Camper illustrating the emergency exit and fire extinguisher locations.
This sketch is to be added to our web site with in the next 2 months adding reassurance before a customer secures a Camper Van.

A few of the accommodation points do not apply for our Camper Vans. However in addition : LED touch lights feature though out our Camper Vans along with carpet on sections throughout a bed zone. Kitchen areas offer some drop down cupboards and clear storage containers, so utensils and non perishable food items can be easily seen before accessing. Press button knobs on the drop down draws are silver in colour and cupboard a light wood, so contrastable. Cooking facilities are in a safe and accessible space. Beds are double in size and do not have east/west walk around space though easily accessible by front and end. No chemicals are used when cleaning Camper Vans. Linen is washed on a heavy cycle post hire with a non perfume washing powder.
